About Service Scout
Service Scout is Chicago’s home services network, built to take the runaround out of finding reliable local pros. We connect Chicagoland homeowners with vetted gutter, plumbing, and snow removal professionals — the kind of services you don’t want to gamble on when your basement is filling up or your driveway is buried under six inches of snow.
Meet the Founder
I’m Andres, and I started Service Scout because I’m a Chicago homeowner who got tired of the contractor runaround. If you’ve owned a home in Chicagoland for more than a winter, you know the drill: the gutter guy who won’t return your call, the plumber who quotes $200 and bills $800, the snow plow service that ghosts you after the first paid month.
I’m an engineer by trade, so when something keeps breaking the same way, I want to fix the system, not just patch the symptom. Service Scout is my fix: a vetted network of Chicago home service pros, transparent pricing, and a clear path to getting the job done right the first time.
What We Do
We do two things, and we try to do them well:
- Connect you with vetted local service pros for gutters, plumbing, and snow removal. Free quotes, 24-hour response time, no commitment.
- Sell DIY tools and gear for homeowners who’d rather handle things themselves. Our shop carries gutter scoops, leaf guards, and other practical tools that get the job done.
Why Service Scout Exists
Anyone who has tried to find a reliable contractor in Chicago knows the frustration: no-shows, vague pricing, pushy upsells, and crews that disappear once the deposit clears. I built Service Scout because Chicagoland homeowners deserve better. Every pro in our network is vetted, every quote is free, and every transaction is transparent.
Who We Serve
We serve homeowners across the Chicago metro area including Oak Park, Evanston, Schaumburg, Naperville, Cook County, and surrounding suburbs. Whether you need an emergency plumber on a Sunday evening, a gutter cleaning before the next storm, or a snow plow on call all winter, we’re here to help you find the right person — or the right tool — for the job.
